Given a choice between Summer and Autumn and I usually pick Summer. However, this year I am feeling very excited about crisp Autumn walks in the country, snuggling in front of the fire with Al and Toby, chai lattes, seeing all of the new things that come in at my local garden centre and most of all I am looking forward to this year’s trends for Autumn.
Now, my new found love for all things Fall related in the fashion arena are thanks to my local ‘New Look’ store and their stunning ranges that are currently available. After discovering some of their gorgeous new pieces, I not only felt inspired for Fall, but I also felt that now was the perfect time to step out of my comfort zone and give a few new trends a whirl. If you want to find out exactly what I snapped up, then keep on reading.
Black is Back
As a lover of florals the first thing that I was naturally drawn to, was this stunning embroidered top. Like most people I naturally assumed that this trend was better left to the warmer months. However, as I quickly discovered, it looks like this is set to be a big trend for this season. I think this will look great with a leather or suede jacket.
Bardot
Next I decided to invest in another bardot style top, as I have been wearing my Oasis top alot this season and think it is such an effortless trend and I have already worn this top with jeans and shorts. This print is so pretty and I know that I will be wearing this alot throughout Fall.
Shine in Metallics
When it comes to all things shiny, I tend to favor adding a few jewels for that extra sparkle. However, I absolutely love this top, as it is such a soft light material and is incredibly comfortable to wear and perfect for that understated look. I love that it can be worn with some heels and would look great at a party.
Lace
Normally if I want to add a pop of colour to my fall wardrobe, I will opt for colours such as burgundy or red and when it comes to various shades of yellow I’m rather cautious, owning to the fact that I’m blonde. However, one thing I have discovered is that not only do I love this colour but darker shades of yellow (mustard) actually look pretty hot.
