This year has been a roller coaster ride, so naturally I wasn’t surprised when I discovered I would be playing the part of Santa’s little helper along with my lovely Fiance Al on Christmas Eve.
After enjoying a quick catch up with the family in a local pub called ‘The Keep’ in the beautiful town of Guildford and consuming a glass of double Baileys in front of this cosy warm fire.
Both Al and I joined the rest of the Christmas rush on a mission to finish of a few last minute errands for Christmas Day and I will confess I did secretly enjoy picking out cute little gifts to go in my Nephews stockings.
After a successful trip into Town, we paid a little visit to a friend which led to spontaneous evening filled with several glasses of Prosecco, Christmas nibbles and fun conversations with new friends.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas Eve without a few home baked mince pies from Mum and some last minute Christmas wrapping before falling into bed ready to kick off the festive celebrations all over again – but I will leave that for another post 🙂
